Big room with a big bed. Clean and well presented. Great location, close to lots of places to eat. However we ate at the restaurant at the place and that was good. Good value for money because the breakfast was really really well done.
Sqeeky floors. Staff not always around. Have to wait a while at times for them to turn up.
Dinner in the restaurant was value for money
Service in bar was non existent you had to go to reception to get served
Helpfullness and frindlinessof staff
The hotel was welcomng, the food good and the staff were friendly and helpful.
The structure of the hotel, the building. You will we easily feel that you are living during the classical period.
Lack of space in the room.
The restaurant is excellent & the serving staff very attentive.
The bed room was a disaster with so many faults
The staff were extremely friendly and the food excellent. Lots of character in the hotels interior design.
Ideal location for numerous sightseeing visits in central Scotland. Quality of service excellent & even the tired appearance of the internals of the hotel adds to the ambience of the place. Would particularly suit mature couples/groups(and by that I don't mean elderly)
Only one complaint - at breakfast some items could not be supplied due to lack of stock. Otherwise - GREAT!
Great location, right on the high street but not too busy. We were working in the university inovation park, and it was only approx 3 mins drive away. Plenty of free parking, so no problems there. Beds were fairly comfy, nice 32" hd tv which was decent!
I think we may have had the 'cheap room'. The lock on the door was useless, and the handle was literally ready to fall off. The window had no lock on it, and could be opened easily. Luckily its a nice area! Wall's needed a good lick of paint as they were filthy. The room was absolutely roasting hot! It was warm outside, but the heat inside was unbearable. The radiator being stuck on in the bathroom didnt help! For the record, we were in room 36.
Breakfast really nice. Hotel situated in central location. Relaxing atmosphere.
Lack of communication. There was no extra bed ready for our 8 year old son. We got good discount on our price but do not think it would reflect the full charge price
relaxed and quite enviorment and nice staff
The staff were very friendly and wecoming. Excelent service with a plesent smile
a very modern and clean hotel, very pleasant and friendly staff, we were made welcome from the word go and nothing was too much trouble. We are at a Wedding and it was really well done, the food especially
i didnt like that the curtain was hanging off the bathroom window and also that the bottom of the single beds were visuable(which wasnt very clean or modern looking) We didnt have a bulb in the spotlight on the dressing table either.
Good room, clean and fair size with good facilities. Location very easy to find and for our requirement as ovenight stop on route to Western Scotland / Visiting Stirling. Allowing for comments below the hotel was very good value.
When first checked in booking clerk originally asked for payment at £50 per person not per room as agreed. On showing booking .com printout this was immediately corrected. Similarly a meal deal was advertised boldly both outside the hotel and on the menu outside the resturant, only to be told when seated it only applied before 6pm.
Location and friendly staff.
The hotel needs a handyman to repair the obvious small jobs all around the place that need attention. I.E. the over painted windows, the missing lighbulbs, the mouldy grout in my bathroom, the broken toilet seat in the reception Gents. The hotel needs updating to current expectations.
